UNCTAD Secretary-General Supachai Panitchpakdi has met with Seychelles President James Michel, and has handed over an independent review of the country's competition and consumer protection legislation.

The country’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology has reviewed challenges that the nation faces, at the meeting that saw the presentation of UNCTAD’s Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Review of the Dominican Republic.​

UNCTAD finds that a considerable share of cross-border M&As have been withdrawn for regulatory or political reasons.

Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, S.A. (Bladex) has been elected to lead the Global Network of Exim Banks and Development Finance Institutions (G-NEXID) for the next four years.

The objective of the meeting is to complete the Compilers Guide of the Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services 2010 (MSITS 2010). The meeting will be attended by about 40 experts of international agencies, national statistical offices and central banks of developed and developing countries.
